Invisible Me

Ties are stupid

Considering what clothes to put on everyday seems wide open. It might be based on whatever is planned for the day. Exercise, work or other activities can inform the choice. Then there are days when there is no choice. New parents understand this one. When you don’t dress yourself first, someone else takes precedence. If you are ill, there might be no need to change clothing. Climbing back into bed and heeding the need of your body has to take the lead. But if you check your closet closely, you might find some stupid stuff. Clothes should be comfortable but not messy looking. An outfit might be super stylish and utterly uncomfortable. If it takes a lot of thought as you move from hanger to hanger or drawer to drawer, your inability to know what you really want to wear should be an obvious sign that your wardrobe needs more thought. Or it could be that you need to think more about how you want to present yourself. Because that is ultimately what we are doing when we dress. We don’t go outside naked for many reasons. But the choices we make when deciding how to demonstrate a little of our identity are important. Clothing is a daily activity meant to explain more about our world. After all, if we really wanted to hide, we would all be walking around in camo every day.

I see you

Option #1: Describe your daily clothing.

Option #2: Are you set up clothing-wise for any activity?

Option #3: What is your favorite piece of clothing?

That’s it. After you choose the option that best describes your clothing choices, take a few minutes to describe why you chose that option and what action, if any, may come next.
