Spirit Elevation

The first daily task is to determine what level the spirit woke up at. You probably thought that waking up on the wrong side of the bed was just a saying, but it’s meaning incorporates what level the spirit felt when you opened your eyes. If you were just leaving a deep dream state, there might be a little grogginess. If you didn’t get enough actual time asleep, there might be some yawning as your body tries to reoxygenate itself. If you remember what dilemma your life is currently trying to handle immediately, there might be the start of the anxiety meter. It’s a little counter-intuitive that the first moments of being awake are so busy. Sliding gently into the day is a lost art.

When the Spirit Soars

Let’s talk about the great times. Those days when you wake up giddy with the possibilities involved. The shower is hot, your hair looks good, your clothes look terrific, and the coffee is delicious. Having a happy family, a full tank in a clean car, the sun is shining, and you actually know where you are going. Days can be great. Spirits can soar. These days, moments and possibilities deserve preservation. Not because they are rare but because they exist. We need reminding that our spirits are the best companions to repeating awesome events. When joining in spirit conversation, request that you experience as great a life as possible. Ask to be surprised by the outright beauty of what you have in your outer world. Even more importantly, ask for more times of joy. Ask for your spirit to put your delight on repeat.

Risky Spirit

Sometimes in life we have expectations about how things will turn out. We risk feeling some disappointment in exchanging the way we thought things would go versus our expectations. There is even a range of emotions involved. At its worst, we point some feelings toward us that don’t belong to us. This a rough emotion to dissolve but we risk anyway because we find growth in getting another chance to acceptance. It is like visiting another destination where we need to see for ourselves what kind of reaction we will have this time. It also forces us to consider how something might have gone. Counter-intuitively, sometimes things come out better after the disappointment cools down. It acually builds a bridge to the new place. It is startling how going wrong ends up right.

Turn it Up

Elevating the self-spirit is simple at its heart. The actual beauty of us is having this delightful spirit. Knowing that when you gaze into your own eyes and see all the spirits of the world, there is nothing wrong. There is nothing else. You cannot even beat the aspect that inside of you is your own special spirit, guiding you along. We only need to look for them. And hug them back. Your spirit is there to elevate you at any time. You just have to remember to ask. So risk throwing away the disappointment, the difficult thoughts when you wake and the challenges of the day. Stop, close your eyes, put your hand on your heart, breathe and smile. That’s the best way to connect with that inner spirit.

Being a spirit takes practice. How does your spirit come to you first thing in the morning? How does your spirit say goodnight?
