A Person who Does Things

When hours blend into days that blend into weeks that blend into months and there is not enough difference, time gets monotonous. Although we like to follow those strategic well-planned habits that give us a good life, even those can deprive us of excitement over time. A little change goes a long way due to its ripple effect. You want to be a person who gets things done. The opposite is the person who continually talks about the things they are going to do endlessly. There many only be two sets of people in the world.

A Personal Difference

There is no need to listen to the lamenting of the victims who can’t ever get around to doing stuff. We generally have some fluffy time in all of our schedules despite what we think. Otherwise, social media wouldn’t be a thing, streaming shows wouldn’t get any viewers and children would never be to blame for holding up anyone’s life dreams. You can dream very successfully through many planning stages while caring for loved ones. There is always head time. Just substitute your me thoughts on how you are going to get things done with all that time you spend talking about your lack of time. Think creatively and see what you can come up with to substitute for those limiting thoughts.

Start to be That Person

It is a reasonable assumption that if you want to become the person you aren’t yet, you need to start doing the things you don’t do yet. Otherwise, each day will continue to blend right along and you may lose the magic of the moment of change. Yes, there is an actual moment when things change. You can often define this in life and it isn’t always the result of something big and bad that happened. It may have been a move, a job change, a change in partnership, a health event or even winning the lottery. All those folks who said they wouldn’t change their lives when they won the lotto fibbed. They all changed even if they didn’t want to because their circumstances adjusted from the windfall. Granted, they may not have made a completely new life but I guarantee that their old life definitely disappeared. But change can come just because you said for it to do so.

Be that new Person

Think about the new and improved you of your future. The only way that person can be willed to life is through the changes you make. The sooner, the better. Just the slightest change in point of view sets your sights in a different direction, refocuses the outcome, recalculates the GPS and conjures up some new thought. But it doesn’t happen all by itself. So stop being one of the peeps who talk about what you want to do and start the process. There are two lines ahead of you in life. Can you guess which one is shorter?

What are you always talking about doing and never get around to? Since that magic of change is inside you, find it and use it. Do you really want to do stuff or do you think you just need to say that you want to do stuff? Gain some clarity with yourself and enjoy the time you can get back from dropping false future plans.
