Don’t make a big thing out of it

The Easy Way

If you need a simpler way to figure out whether to move forward with something in life, ask yourself if it is more doable or more desirable. They are not the same although they may be joined at the hip on occasion. Inevitably, every recipe I come across states how easy it is. That isn’t even what I was looking for. The fact that something is easy is perfectly acceptable, but everything is life doesn’t have to make that claim. Making a complicated multi-level anything should not be easy. There is always some degree of difficulty involved. That’s what makes it a challenge worth showing off after. The middle can even be messy. But it’s usually the starting line where the project stalls. Desirable implies some level of enjoyment. Or at least a better outcome. Doable is more the description of the fact that there will not be a plethora of obstacles in the way. It’s a good basic method of characterizing what it will take to complete the task or project. When you focus on the way you decide to live your life, are you thinking of it as more desirable or more doable? Try not to base your answer on any negative connotation associated with those words. Humans of the competitive variety will infer that their life is automatically desirable because that adjective slants better. But doable is certainly very admirable. Consider the next task on your list. Is it doable, desirable or both?

Easy Measly

Option #1: Do you think your good life is a doable project?

Option #2: Can you change your description of life ingredients to motivate you?

Option #3: What can you do to better describe your tasks?

That’s it. After you choose the option that best describes how to qualify what you are doing, take a few minutes to describe why you chose that option and what action, if any, may come next.
