Fashionistas know it all

A simple selection of clothing called the capsule wardrobe has become trendy in recent years. The truth is that a simple selection of clothing is what most adults owned until recent decades. Fewer choices were available. Fewer choices were needed. Fewer choices were able to be stored in closets. It all worked out somehow. When clothes became more mass produced and decreased in price, the increased availability also changed the square footage of closet space required for the average human. Shoes followed the trend and sneakers have actually blown up in ownership. Probably better for foot health. It may be healthier to own more clothing if it brings even a semblance of joy to the wearer. For minimalists, maybe more accessories do the same thing. A well-chosen extra that didn’t come with a purchase achieves a couple of things. It differentiates the look as well as the action of the human who adds it to the outfit. If you think of accessorizing your life, that attitude might jazz it up the same way. Lives might need little additions to bring some attention. That might mean trying out a new activity, hobby or randomly starting conversations in the breakroom with humans that you see every day but don’t know what to call them. The simplest way to start a new relationship is by stating your name. Humans know to reciprocate with their own. It’s factory-installed in us.

You sparkle

Option #1: When did you last shop just for accessories?

Option #2: How can you add something new to your life?

Option #3: Is there any reason to not expand your life?

That’s it. After you choose the option that best describes your capsule life, take a few minutes to describe why you chose that option and what action, if any, may come next.
