Yes, cats
How Life is Meant to Be
My cat told me these truths, but I have had dogs who whispered the same things to me when they weren’t overflowing with sloppy loving kisses. My current cat is a king. He has the best life I can offer him. He doesn’t have to do much for this because this is my daily choice to show him a good time. The cats who lived with me in the past had similar experiences. My dogs were well taken care of also, but they are less subtle in gratefulness. Like your little animal loves, they have nourishing food, comfortable places to take their rest, exercise and play, loving petting and conversations with us. Their lives are the goal for all living things.
Who won the lottery
I won the life lottery. I have a home, health care, nourishing food and a loving family. Our meant-to-be lives are better than most. That can create thoughts of guilt until it motivates us to take action to help others. Anyone else. You know the look on the face of those who do not live as well as your little pets. It is perfectly good to have this advantage especially if you can take advantage of your power to decrease the chances of someone else to experience an unsafe environment. If you won the life lottery, you can do something. Skip a meal once a week and make a donation to a local shelter. There is great satisfaction in giving anonymously also. That secret feeling makes you a hero in your heart. Once you try it, you will repeat it. Or find another way to elevate someone else’s daily life.
Reality Bites
Even your cat may not know that there are other cats who struggle. They aren’t always visible. You may have to seek out multiple ways to give quietly to another entity. It may be someone you come into contact with very often. You have to look for them. You may even need to look really closely around you because they exist in the same world as you. It is easy to hide in a busy environment. Is this the way your life is supposed to be? Most likely.
Means can outweigh
The undeniable reality of your beautiful life is that you can do more. Thinking about your pets can really hit home because you love them so much. Your cat may have won the pet lottery. Love them completely. This is a great reminder to elevate your life from that superficially lovely environment to be as generous as possible to others. If you can remember back to the week we discussed giving, you will remember that both sides win. Humans feel good for being able to give and those who receive can also feel better. It doesn’t have to be a huge endeavor, but it might turn into a beautiful habit when you open your eyes and blink like your cat does all around you to see what you haven’t seen previously. It takes a little practice to see in the dark.
Do you have conversations with your pets? Do you know why?
