Ordinary Dailyish

Enough is enough

My Mom said so

Doing something every day isn’t really difficult. We eat, we sleep, we talk and we walk around. Sometimes those are zombie-like and sometimes they are full of energy. High energy even. The rest of the daily stuff might not be such a ritual. There may even be days when a meal is missed but is quickly eaten later to avoid becoming hangry. We know being famished is now a dangerous situation as depicted in candy commercials. Determining what is required on a daily level is personal to each human. Some rainy days are super inconvenient, but no one wants them to end completely because that results in a drought. Coffee and prayers and kisses might be a necessity to some. A hot shower works best for me even if it is delayed by my other need to exercise. But not every day. Most days. So, exercise is dailyish. Everything that happens all day long can be measured that way. It is a privilege to have choices. The choices we make in our life create our life. Adults don’t have the advantage of always having mothers tell them what to do next. Parents are great at knowing what children are supposed to be doing. Not all kids will agree to this power but that’s life. Dailyish life.

What’s next

Option #1: What do you do on a dailyish schedule?

Option #2: How can you measure what is required in your life?

Option #3: Do you have any non-negotiable items in your life?

That’s it. After you choose the option that best describes a daily requirement, take a few minutes to describe why you chose that option and what action, if any, may come next.
