Ordinary Power

Genius isn’t always evil

Mastering Me

Think of how you manage to live your life. You don’t want to look bad at living and like to maintain a certain level of self-image. You don’t like to fail at anything. That’s caught up in not wanting to be humiliated. You crave some recognition from those around you that you are doing your best with what you have been handed. The question is really who handed you that ball of junk. Oh, you chose it. That’s a different story. You choose most of the aspects of your life. You have tamed your wildness and live mostly at a steady beat of what is right. That sounds a little mundane.

Meet Me

Picture a dark corner at night. There is someone standing underneath a lamp post just observing. That’s you. The inside you. The watcher. Always keeping track of what is done to you and for you as well as what you do in return. This is a big job. It’s time to put this poor person on a very long vaca. Meeting face to face with this version of you is the way to surrender control of what is happening and live in the moment. After all, you can’t change the past or control the future. You might as well just enjoy this actual moment you have. Oddly, this is the essence of power. Allowing your emotions and thoughts to just be is very freeing. Without resistance, you breathe easier. You can release those old stories that you have been retelling that don’t even entertain you anymore. You can be just you.

MasterMind

It’s a odd word, mastermind. Sounds like something that describes a nefarious character in a superhero movie. But mastering you mind, your life and you is making you the superhero. You can train yourself to have presence in your own life. There is magic in being unapologetically authentic. When you raise awareness, your mind, body and soul work together. There is strength in numbers. Everything is easier when you mastermind your life. It isn’t even a lot to keep track of. It’s just now. This moment. Tackle the next minute. Consider what you are doing and act like you have mastered it. Now write down how that feels in your journal. Masterminds need codebooks to keep track. Once you get over appreciating how you performed, pick another moment to mastermind and do it again. You can tinker all day long crafting your technique. It sure beats that boring stuff you were doing previously.

A Month of Mastermind

We have arrived at the end of the month. This month was a chance to catch up with stuff you left behind on busy days. But now you have added creating your own mastermind. This practice actually captures all of the desirable traits we have discussed every month so far. Your journal is now your logical repository of your life plan. Your mastermind plan. It may have taken a while to get to this place, but the gradual changes in mind, body and soul will continue to benefit your transformation. No risk is a huge risk.

What part of you needs a little more masterminding? Are you more villain or hero to yourself?
