It’s getting cold in here
At least Four Seasons
No matter what you think, nature is the most powerful force on Earth. Humans can’t control its actions. But it is possible to work with it. Even harness it for good. The original humans watch the natural rhythms to shape their activities. The light and darkness of each day provided the necessary help to search for shelter and food. Even today, humans sleep more easily when darkness arrives. Our bodies rest for a full third of each cycle that measures a day. There is a little rogue outlook in staying out late. There is a little aspirational outlook to see the dawn. If you monitor what the seasons mean to your mental, spiritual and bodily health, you know the little differences that mean a change in time. Weather differences accompany some of these time changes. Foods aren’t always accessible. There are urges for meals that provide comfort or lightness. Seeking out how the cycles move us, helps us know ourselves better. Bringing in some outdoorsy decor can also celebrate the seasons. The intense smell of some plants gets them noticed. The craving of some fruits demonstrates how nature provides a little escape from routine. These are the balances of the seasons. When we sync ourselves with nature, its colors, its weather and its beauty, we grow in understanding of our own seasons. Life has a way of helping us along when we stop and stare at it.
What does this smell like?
Option #1: Do you think everyone has a favorite season?
Option #2: Can you determine what season you are really living in?
Option #3: What can you do to increase your love of the Earth?
That’s it. After you choose the option that best describes what each season means to us, take a few minutes to describe why you chose that option and what action, if any, may come next.
