Ordinary Why

Ordinary, with its damaged reputation as boring, is really just a way to get things done. A system. A standard. A way that works. Maybe not sparkly, but glitter and sequins can blind sometimes. Ordinary doesn’t scare. It is dependable.

Sometimes we need a why to believe. The why of loving the ordinary is not obvious but it produces good results. The effect of gradually changing your life on a daily basis by taking two minutes to uplift the simple parts creates a upward path that is so subtle, but so transformative, you don’t even notice. You wake up one day on a new level. You change slowly, the best way to maintain your new self.

What you have to stop and really admire is how much easier everything becomes over time. Your working commonplace system has marvelous components that become the gentle hum of your day. The set routine is like a warm hug. The unplanned result leaves space for more parts to become a part of the better system. More uplifted moments. The system of NEXT ordinary goes on endlessly. The moments that can get the well-deserved extra notice are limitless. They really only depend on your thought to make them special. That is incredible power. All in your eyes. There is no wrong. No rules. It just takes you to actually do it. Your standard ordinary why.

Can your NEXT why be a lingering glance at a part of your day that you ran past previously? Right now, surprise yourself by giving two minutes back to you to appreciate an aspect of your ordinary day. Will it look good with a crown? It’s your ordinary; an extraordinary ordinary.
